As our communications guru Tui lets people know about the great environmental work Taranaki Mounga is doing. Tui and her family moved to Taranaki from Wellington in 2016 with her husband and daughter now ‘home’ and reconnecting with their Taranaki Iwi whanau. They couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
Tui has over 15 years communications and community development experience, beginning her career in journalism, and then moving to marketing and communications. She has worked with a number of corporate, government and non-profit organisations and enjoys using her experience to help organisations connect with community. Tui has been seconded part-time to Taranaki Mounga from Shell New Zealand who are a founding sponsor of the project.
The Taranaki Mounga project is special to Tui as she enjoys working with organisations that make a positive contribution to the country. She recently completed her Masters of Management and has provided marketing and communications advice to local environmental organisations such as Wild for Taranaki and Tiaki Te Mauri o Parininihi Trust to support their volunteering and marketing efforts.
